Treatments / Injectables

Wrinkle-relaxing injections, River Heights, Winnipeg

A prescription neuromodulator that relaxes the muscle under a line. Joanne charts the units for each area at your consult, writes down the total, and you decide from there. It takes up to 14 days to settle, so judge it at the two-week check, not the next morning.

Planning around a date?

  • 3+ weeks before: Plenty of time. It settles in up to 14 days, and there’s room for the two-week check.
  • 2 weeks before: Tight. It will have settled, but there’s no time for a top-up if one side needs it.
  • Less than 2 weeks: Book it after your date. It can take up to 14 days to settle.

How it goes

  1. ConsultJoanne looks at how your face moves, asks about your health and medications, and charts the units.
  2. Written planAreas, units and the total, on paper. You can take it home and think.
  3. TreatmentA few small injections per area, about 20 minutes. No lying down for four hours, no workout that day.
  4. Two-week checkIt has settled by now. If one side needs a few more units, we add them at $12 a unit.

Individual results may vary. A consultation comes first, and the plan you leave with is the price you pay. Prices in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes. Changes are free with 48 hours’ notice; later than that, or a missed visit, is $50.

Tamarack plan sheet · Wrinkle-relaxing injections
Will I look frozen?
Not at the doses we chart. We aim for lines that soften while your brows still move. If you want more movement next time, we use fewer units.
Does it hurt?
It feels like a quick pinch. Ice is there if you want it, and numbing cream if you ask.
When can I go back to work?
The same day. Small bumps fade within an hour. Skip makeup on the spots until the evening.
Why don’t you list a brand?
Health Canada only lets clinics advertise a prescription drug’s name, price and quantity to the public. We’ll talk about the product at your consult.
